kidnapped as an infant and found at age 16

A 16 year old Latvian boy was kidnapped as an infant and could be brought back to his mother after a break in the case, this was said on Wednesday. Investigators made the discovery after the woman who raised the boy in Daugavpils. She was arrested and questions about the boy's identity came up. The boy had no sort of identification-no I.D. or birth certificate. So they wanted to investigate the kidnapping that happened in 1992 once again after six years of him being gone. They found the boy and confirmed DNA and it was the boy who got kidnapped. This shocked Latvia because it is such a big country and they found him. When they talked to the women who kidnapped the boy she denied it, she told the police her husband brought him home saying he was from Russian region of Dagestan. Dunda a police officer said that the authorities put the boy in a faster care. They are waiting to see if he can go live with his biological mother. The custody court said that they are going to weigh out all factors. Like the boy wish on where he wants to live until he turns 18. Police say that he is the only child for the biological mother and arrested women. At this moment he is not going to school, because he is receiving psychological help.
